Flo Garage Ltd ("Flo Garage", "we", "us") provides vehicle breakdown recovery, towing, and transport services for cars, vans and motorcycles across Southampton and the surrounding region, and further afield by arrangement. Accepting a job, by phone or through this website, forms an agreement on these terms between Flo Garage and the customer.
Estimates given by phone or through the online calculator are indicative and based on distance; the confirmed price is agreed with the customer before the job begins and may vary for difficult access, waiting time, additional labour, or out-of-hours callouts. Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing, by cash or card. Unpaid invoices may incur reasonable storage or collection charges as set out below.
Recovery jobs of under 40 miles are charged at a flat rate of £117. Jobs of 40 miles or more are charged at £2.40 per mile plus a £30 fixed fee. The online calculator gives an instant estimate based on postcode-area distance as the crow flies — actual route mileage, access, time of day and vehicle type may affect the final price, which is always confirmed with the customer before recovery begins.
We take reasonable care when loading, transporting and unloading every vehicle. Flo Garage is not liable for pre-existing damage, mechanical faults, or wear not caused by our recovery, nor for personal belongings left in the vehicle — please remove valuables before handover. Any damage caused directly by our negligence during recovery will be assessed and addressed fairly, and we hold public liability insurance for that purpose.
You may cancel a booked job any time before we arrive at no charge, except where recovery is already under way, in which case a reasonable call-out fee may apply to cover time and mileage already committed.
The customer confirms the pick-up location is safely accessible to a recovery vehicle. Our drivers may decline to proceed, or adjust the approach, where road, weather or site conditions present a safety risk, and will explain the reason at the time.
We collect only the contact, vehicle and location details needed to carry out a job, and handle them in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We do not sell customer data, and it is kept only as long as needed for the service and any legal or accounting requirement.
If anything about a job falls short, contact us on 07385 557727 and we will look into it promptly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute that cannot be resolved directly falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
